A pair of French gilt metal-mounted Chinese famille rose lamp bases, second half of the 19th century, now wired with brand new Degas Empire Box taupe pleated shades, each 38cm high to the top of the base. Overall, 68cm high, including the current shades. Epitomising the fashion for all things Chinese from the 18th century onwards these handsome lamps will add class and style to any drawing room.
