Andrew Morgan featured in The Bristol Magazine

We were delighted to see Andrew featured in the September 2026 edition of The Bristol Magazine, as part of its My Bristol series.

In the article, Andrew talks about his lifelong connection with Bristol and some of the places in and around the city that mean most to him — from the Downs and the Suspension Bridge to St Mary Redcliffe, All Saints Clifton and the wider West Country landscape.

He also reflects on how his interest in art and antiques began. Growing up surrounded by older objects, and visiting historic houses and churches on family holidays and days out, helped spark a fascination with history and with the stories objects can tell.

As Andrew explains in the article:

“I grew up with older things around me and was taken to historic houses and churches on holidays and days off, which first sparked my passion for art.”

He also offers some characteristically straightforward advice to anyone beginning to collect antiques: to follow their instinct and, above all, to buy something because they genuinely love it. As he puts it, value is important, but enjoyment should come first.

The feature also touches on Andrew’s particular interest in historic liturgical art, icons and Christian pictures, alongside his enthusiasm for Bristol’s wider and wonderfully varied arts scene.
